*”One year ago I made the decision to do personal training, this is were I meet Megan at the French Road location. I started with just 2 days a week and I joined one of her groups as well, after 6 months. I am now down 80 pounds and Megan is training me for my first 5k! Every time I would get frustrated, Megan would always say “remember where you started”. She has taught me how to exercise and create a healthy lifestyle. I know I still have a journey a head of me, but with the support of Megan I KNOW I CAN DO THIS!”*

*Joanne has been a member since 2007. She works out 4 to 5 days a week. She loves taking total Body Sculpt, Pilates Vortex, & Cycling classes. She has set a goal for herself to try Zumba soon. She also does cardio machines and resistance training. Cycling shoes and a heart rate monitor are tools she uses to help with her workouts. She keeps setting small goals for herself – and it’s working!!!*

*Kim has yo-yo dieted her whole life. She said she was either loosing or gaining but after her granddaughter was born she knew she needed to make some radical changes in her life if she wanted to enjoy her life to the fullest. One year ago she made a decision and committed to make herself healthy! She has lost an incredible amount of weight and feels better than she has in years. She gives thanks to her wonderful family and friends for all of their support but a huge shout out goes to her trainer Debbie Hastings. She said she truly could not have done it without her guidance and support. “Her positive outlook on everything makes training with her a joy. I actually look forward to going to the gym.”*

The next time you are thinking about skipping a work out think of Lisa who did not let anything get in her way:

My name is Lisa Strong, I’ve been a member of the BAC since 1998. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1996, and I refused to let the diagnosis bring me down!! With regular exercise including running and strength and resistance training, I am extremely healthy and virtually symptom free!! My favorites are sweatshop classes by Ellen and body sculpting classes by Terry. I run a lot of 5ks, including a 5 k on Castaway Cay in the Bahamas and 10 k races also. I’ve run 2 half marathons in Hollywood and Las Vegas! My next half will be the Buffalo half marathon in May, and my training will be running on the treadmill and classes at the BAC!

The BAC has absolutely changed my life. The picture on the left was from January of 2015, and I was just about fitting in my 3X North Face and size 24 jeans. The picture on the right is from about 2 weeks ago. I am so darn excited to not only fit in to a size 14 pair of jeans, but a plain old large shirt!! I started working out and tracking my food/nutritional intake on April 16th and joined the BAC on May 7th. I’m so excited to say that in that time, I have lost just a smidge under 76 pounds, 13% body fat, and a combined total of 32 inches! It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you set your mind to it!! Don’t give up!

*Hi I’m Sherry Bennett and this is my success story:
“After a great work out with Personal Trainer Ashley Gage, I remember thinking . . .THIS is why I drive half an hour to get here, THIS is why I get up insanely early on Saturday mornings, THIS is why I push myself, and THIS is why I am where I am today! When I started working out with Ashley two and a half years ago, I would have never guessed I would complete numerous 5k races, two half marathons, and a Tough Mudder. I would have never guessed I would lose as much weight as I did, and I certainly wouldn’t have guessed I would be as motivated, determined, and dedicated to being physically fit! Ashley and the rest of the team at the French Road BAC have helped me develop not only the physical skills, but also the nutritional knowledge and the mental drive it takes to get into great shape. Thank you Ashley Gage, for pushing me through all those tough workouts and for reminding me – you can feel sore tomorrow or you can feel sorry tomorrow, you choose. One of the greatest feelings is realizing that two weeks ago your body couldn’t do what it just did”*

I’ve been a member of the BAC for a couple of years now but didn’t start going regularly until May 2016 when I discovered Power 30. Uncoordinated and doing backwards somersaults off the stability balls and BOSU’s, I reluctantly stayed with it and signed up for my first challenge. Together with Jill, Ellen and my friend/workout buddy, Ronna, I’ve now completed two challenges, absolutely love Power 30 and am by far in the best shape of my life. Power 30 has proven that if you can just push yourself for 30 minutes a day, you easily can reach your fitness goals.
