Akemi is a Zumba® and Zumba® Toning instructor at the BAC for Women Williamsville location. She is ZIN licensed in Zumba®, Zumba® Toning and Zumba® Sentao.


Alexandra has have been teaching at the BAC for Women since 1999. She has her Group Exercise Certification and she teaches Step & Chisel, Step 101 and Body Blast classes. Currently, she teaches at the BAC for Women Williamsville location.

Amy D.

Amy D. is a stay at home Mom for a four year old and two year old. She has a degree in education and a passion for exercise so she love being able to combine the two at the BAC for Women! Cardio kickboxing has been her favorite way to get the heart rate up and her body moving. She can’t wait to see you all in class!

Amy M

Amy M. has been teaching Group Exercise classes at the BAC for Women for over 5 years. She is certified thru ISCA, the International Sports Conditioning Association. Amy currently teaches Strike Zone and Body Chisel.


Angel is a certified Indoor Cycling Instructor and Personal Trainer through NETA, and she teaches Cycling at the BAC for Women. She is a married mother of three gorgeous children as well as two fur babies. Angel is a competitive Powerlifter and have held both New York State and National Records in the Deadlift and Bench Press. Through a combination of diet and exercise she lost over 65 pounds and found a passion for fitness! Her goal is to help others to discover that same passion!


Annie has been a member of the BAC for Women since 2012. The BAC is where she fell in love with fitness and developed a passion for helping others fall in love with it too! She is an ACE certified Personal Trainer and currently teaches Power 30 here at our Tonawanda location. Annie is also available for one-on-one training- Come train with her!


The BAC has been a second home to Antoinette since January of 2001, when she joined to recover from a knee injury. A year later she was working the front desk, and in 2008, she became AFAA certified to teach classes. Antoinette looked forward to Sunday mornings, when she teaches Body Chisel at the BAC Tonawanda location. During the week, when she’s not at the BAC working out, she teaches fourth graders in Hamburg. One of her favorite mottos is “Tell me I can’t and I’ll show you that I can”.


Arissa first started at the BAC for Women as a member taking her mom Cathy’s cycling classes. That sparked her interest in fitness. In high school she interned with Katie, a personal trainer and group exercise instructor and Ellen, the Regional Group Exercise Director here at the BAC for Women which pushed her even further. Right out of high school Arissa became a personal trainer certified with ACE (American Council on Exercise). She has also done specialty workshops on the BOSU trainer. She now teaches Cycling and is a personal trainer here at the BAC for Women.

Barb F

Barb has 32 years of experience teaching Group Exercise classes in WNY. She came to the BAC for Women more than 10 years ago. She holds a Masters degree in education. Barb currently teaches Cardio Dance classes at French Road. She truly love teaching classes at the BAC!


Brandi likes to mix it up- with her playlist that is. She joined the BAC in 2007 and has made exercise a daily part of her life. She decided to share her enthusiasm and passion for exercising with others and became an instructor. Brandi currently teaches RIPT, Body Chisel and Cycling. She looks forward to seeing you in her classes!


Carrie is a certified Personal Trainer. She also has her BS in Exercise Science. Carrie is a mom of a 7 year old and a 4 year old- Life is good!!! She has been personal training for over 14 years at the BAC for Women and loves working with all types of clients! Her philosophy on exercise is that it should be fun, or why bother? Come train with Carrie and find out!!


Cathy is a certified Star 2 level Spinning instructor and Small Group Personal Training class instructor. She has been teaching for the BAC for Women for over 5 years. She came to the club as a member and loved it so much that she decided to get certified and began teaching classes. Cathy currently teaches Carousel as a small group training class at our Tonawanda location. The class involves circuits of cardio and strength to challenge you in every way possible. She is also a full time hair stylist at Salon Allure in Williamsville.

Christine A

Christine A. is a music lover with a fitness problem – She’s motivated by a good playlist and a hard earned sweat! She has her BS in Exercise Science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Christine teaches cycling and yoga. It’s her goal to help bring health and happiness to the women of the BAC for Women!


Dana has been teaching Group Exercise classes for 18 years and holds a Group Exercise Certifications from AFAA and a Nursing Degree from the Millard Fillmore School of Nursing/UB. She currently teaches Body Chisel and cycling classes at the BAC- Tonawanda location. She loves everything about teaching at the BAC, and says sometimes it doesn’t feel like a job. Her true passion really is women’s fitness. Dana says “As women we struggle so much with looks, I want to be a contributing factor in changing that thought process. We all look different and the ideal you is the one you find in your heart and mind, not on the scale or in the mirror. I always tell the members, mind will lead body will follow. We are stronger both mentally and physically than we ever give ourselves credit for.”


After losing over 50 pounds Dawn joined the BAC and began taking group fitness classes. The instructors were so uplifting and inspiring she decided to try it too! Dawn became AFAA certified over 7 years ago has taught a variety of classes. In 2011 she began working with Hope Chest to help breast cancer survivors regain strength and fitness after their illness. Helping all women to gain physical strength and build self confidence has become her passion!


Debbie joined the BAC for Women when our Tonawnada location opened over 11 years ago. Since then, she has become a Star 3 Spinning Instructor, ACE Certified Health Coach, AFAA Certified Personal Trainer. Debbie also holds certifications in TRX and BARRE. She feels her job is about so much more than teaching people how to exercise- “It’s about providing friendship, support and motivation as well as showing them that working toward better health and wellness can be fun and not feel like work.  At first, joining the gym was a way for me to escape – to do something for myself. It has become more than I ever could have dreamed…Now, it is a passion; a way for me to share my love for fitness and well-being! I hope that I can demonstrate to other “moms” that they CAN find time to stay fit too.”

Diane S

Diane is a wife, mother of 3 beautiful boys and an elementary school teacher, but her passion is Zumba®! She fell in love with Zumba when she joined the BAC in July of 2011. Three months later Diane got licensed and has been teaching ever since. She is also licensed in Zumba® Toning and Zumba® Kids. Diane currently teaches both Zumba® and Zumba® Toning at the Williamsville BAC location. The various rhythms and the adrenaline rush always make it a great workout – whether you’re a beginner or a regular! Come check her out and join the party!

Diane Z

Diane has been a Pilates, Yoga and PiYo instructor at the BAC for Women since January 2014. She is certified as a Group Exercise Instructor by the International Sports Conditioning Association (ISCA) and has completed Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA)/American Council on Exercise (ACE) continuing education training.
Diane is the owner of her own business, Plans for Success, concentrating on marketing, communications and public relations. During her corporate career, Diane has had extensive experience as a business management and communications trainer, a skill she brought to her role in the fitness industry.
Diane’s passion for women’s health began in her role as program coordinator for the women’s health education program at Sisters Hospital and in related positions. She has continued to pursue her interest in women’s wellness throughout her career and has participated in numerous community events as company team coordinator. She donates her spare time to Sisters Hospital and Buffalo Greyhound Adoption, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Public Relations Society of America Buffalo Niagara Chapter.

Diane Z / Kim


Ellen is the Regional Group Exercise Director for the BAC for Women. She has been teaching group exercise classes of all types for about 20 years. Her certifications include Maddogg Spinning, AFAA Group Exercise, FitTour Kickboxing, YogaFit levels I and II and TRX. Ellen is also a Heartsaver CPR/AED Instructor and an ACE Certified Weight Loss Coach. She enjoys exercise of all types and love teaching classes and empowering women to be the best that they can be.



Hailey holds her degree in Athletic Training and has experience working with athletes to physical therapy patients and is available for all your fitness needs. She is able to work with all populations, whether you are new to working out or need a boost in your fitness routine! Hailey currently has availability for one on one personal training and teaches Power 30 sessions throughout the week.


I have been instructing a variety of Group Exercise classes since 2005. I am certified as a Senior Fitness Specialist through NASM. As well as certified through AFAA, Blue Powder Productions (Turbokick & Piyo), Body Training Systems (Spinning and Group Power), trained with the Arthritis Foundation, completed a Personal Trainer Preparatory course, and have CPR & AED certification through the American Heart Association. Outside the BAC I work full-time as the Cultural Arts Manager at Asbury Pointe Retirement Home. For fun I enjoy playing softball,volleyball, and running different level races (5k, 10k, Half marathons, and marathons).

Jen S

I teach indoor cycling and Power 30! Sports and exercise has been a passion of mine my whole life. I played rugby, ice hockey, and I wrestled for many years – these days you will find me cycling or in the yoga studio. My education includes: B.Sc. – Kinesiology (Western University of Ontario), M.S. – Exercise Science (University of Toronto), and Ph.D. – Exercise Physiology (Penn State). I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist thought the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In addition to teaching at the BAC, I am an Assistant Professor of Health Promotion at Daemen College. At Daemen, I teach Exercise Physiology, Exercise Prescription, Healthy Eating and Body Image, Introduction to Weight Lifting and other general health promotion courses.

Jennifer M

Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am a certified Spinning Instructor through MADD Dog Athletics. I have been an instructor with the BAC for Women since 2016 and have been cycling for close to ten years. I live a very active lifestyle in and outside of the gym being a member of various sports teams and cycling outside as often as possible. Instructing group classes is a passion of mine and I love to empower women to become the best and strongest versions of themselves. 


Hi, my name is Jill. I am the Group Exercise Director and teach a number of classes including Strike Zone, Yoga, Cycling, and Pilates. I am an AFAA certified Personal Trainer with many years of experience and have many specialized training certificates such as Spinning, AFAA Nutrition Fundamentals and Stress Management. I am the mother of 3 children. One of my greatest joys is being able to share my love of fitness with the ladies at the BAC for Women.


Group classes are a great way to work out! Just walk in the door, give your best effort on that day, and walk out feeling like you’ve accomplished something. You can currently find me on the schedule as a Body Chisel and Cycling instructor but at times I can also be found teaching Strike Zone and Pilates. My certifications include: AFAA Group Exercise, Mad Dogg Spinning, and ISCA Pilates.

I’ve been teaching all types of Group Exercise classes all over WNY for the past 24 years. I am Spinning certified. I currently teach Cardio Dance, Pilates, Body Chisel, Cycling at French Road BAC for Women.

Karen M

Karen joined the teaching staff of the BAC in 2005 and currently teaches Yoga. She is a licensed Physical Therapist and has completed the YogaFit I and YogaFit II courses. Karen has always been interested in health and wellness and loves to help other people make progress with their individual fitness and health goals as well. In addition to Yoga, Karen has also taught Step, Body Chisel, and Pilates.


I’m a certified personal trainer through AFAA and have been training and teaching group exercise classes since 2008 at the Colvin location. I currently train a small group boot camp class and teach cycling classes. I believe in a balanced lifestyle and of living a life you’re proud of. There is no better feeling than an adrenaline rush after a great workout! Hi, my name is Kelly. I joined the BAC for Women as a member in 2011 and discovered my love for fitness. As a member of the BAC, I met many inspirational women who encouraged me to become an instructor myself. I currently teach cycling at the BAC for Women, Williamsville location. It is incredibly rewarding to motivate and challenge women.

I have a doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Buffalo School of Pharmacy and work as a clinical pharmacist in the intensive care unit at a local hospital. Fitness is an invigorating way to reduce stress with a demanding career.

I have been teaching for the BAC for over 5 years and along with my career as an elementary school teacher, I think I have the best jobs in the world!

Hi, I’m Kim! I am a certified group exercise instructor and have been teaching for almost 3 years now. I teach Body Blast and sub several other classes such as Body Chisel, R.I.P.T., and Strike Zone. I’m also taking continuing education classes through AFAA and I thoroughly love what I do and helping out the other members. I started out at French Rd in 2003 as a member and have since loved all three clubs! I currently teach at the Colvin location as well as the French Rd location. Stop out and see me sometime!
I am also the mother of three grown children and am now an empty nester, which leaves me even more time to be available to help out when needed at the BAC.

Hi, I’m Kristin! I started off as a member at the BAC for Women when I was 16 years old and it is where I found my passion for fitness! In 2016 I began working at our Colvin location, and a year later I decided to become an instructor. I am currently working on my BS in Exercise Science (pre-PT), along with a minor in Nutrition at the University at Buffalo. I teach cycling at our Colvin location, and am also an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer. I am beyond thankful to share my love of fitness with all of the amazing women at the BAC!

Certifications/Education: B.Sc. – Biology and Physiology, M.S. – Exercise Physiology, MPH – Epidemiology, Certified Personal Trainer, Additional certifications in: Group exercise, TRX, Spinning and Yoga. I have a BS degree in Exercise Science. I am certified through AFFA for group exercise instructor and Maddog for spinning. I have taught group fitness classes for the last 26 years which include, step, kick boxing, hi/lo, body sculpting, katami, spinning, and cycling. I’ve enjoyed working for the BAC since 1996.


I’ve been teaching group exercise classes for 39 years. My career began in Oakland, MD., with stop overs in Milton, MA., Naperville, IL., Jacksonville, FL., Easton, MD., Chicago, IL., and now Buffalo, NY.
My Certifications include AAFA Group Exercise, Step, Pilates, APEX/AAFA Yoga Instructor Certification [200 hours], Aura Wellness Yoga Teacher Certification [500 hours], Exel Sports Nordic Walking Trainer and NPTA Personal Trainer.
My students have ranged from 4 years old to 93 years young. From the very healthy to those suffering with Chronic Pain Disorder.
Most were/are motivated and eager to improve but some suffered Mood and Behavior Disorders caused by Depression. Getting them out of their hospital beds was a challenge and seeing them smile after our sessions is just one of the reasons I love teaching fitness.
My hope for all of you who chose to play with me is that you take what we do together in the studio and use it throughout the rest of your day and share it with your friends.


I have been a yoga, pilates and piyo instructor for 5 years at the BAC and have also taught chair yoga for seniors.


I have taught for the BAC for 20 years starting when I was just 17 years old! During this time I received my BS in Health and Wellness and a Masters in Education. I am currently certified through ISCA, Madd Dog Spinning, and AHA CPR/AED. I currently teach Cycling at the BAC for Women Williamsville location. As a mother of 5 children, I feel exercise is a great outlet and a reminder to take care of my own body, while being a great example to my children.

I have been A group exercise class instructor since 2006. I became a licensed Zumba® Instructor in 2007.I am also licensed to teach Zumba® Toning, Aqua Zumba®, Sentao, Zumba® Step, Zumba® Gold and Kid’s Zumba®. I am also an AFFA Certified Group Exercise Instructor. Beside teaching Zumba® I also teach Body Chisel (a Muscle building and toning class). Hi- I’m MaryAnne and I have been teaching group exercise classes for over 23 years. My certifications and Education include AFAA, Zumba®, Zumba® Toning and Zumba® Kids. I currently teach Zumba® classes. I am also a motivational speaker, author and wellness consultant. I am the proud owner of Creatively Fit.


I’ve been a Personal Trainer and Group Exercise instructor for over thirteen years. I have my Personal Trainer and Kickboxing Certifications through AFAA, along with special populations including, Stress Management, Prenatal, Senior and Youth Fitness. Sports Nutrition Certification through ISSA. Other certifications include Punk Rope, Piloxing, Mad Dogg Spinning, Less Mills, Healthways Certifications including all SilverSneakers Formats. American Heart Association CPR/AED. Health and Fitness have always been a passion of mine. I fully understand the importance and impact it has on our lives and hope to spread that knowledge and enthusiasm to everyone I train and teach. I’m a Personal Trainer first and infuse that into every format I teach emphasizing proper form and execution in each modality for maximum safety and results.


Michelle has been teaching with the BAC for 5 years, dedicated to helping others enjoy exercise and a healthy Lifestyle. She is AFFA group exercise certified, Zumba® Licensed, Zumba® Toning Licensed, a MADD Dog Certified Cycling Instructor and Pilates Certified. Michelle also has a Bachelors’ degree in Nursing and Community Health. Her over 30 years of nursing practice, which includes Cardiac Rehab, Critical Care, and Diabetic Education have made her well aware of the importance of and developed her passion for exercise. She currently practices as an Rn with Buffalo Medical Groups Cardiology Dept. Group exercise classes she teaches include Body Chisel, Zumba®, Zumba® Toning and Cycling. When she is not teaching or practicing nursing she enjoys outdoor cycling, distance running, hiking, Girl Scout volunteering and spending time with her husband and four children enjoying traveling and recreation. She is energetic, positive, motivating and excited to share fitness and Fun with all participants.


Hello! My name is Missy and I teach RIPT and Cycling at the French Road BAC. I have been an instructor here since 2010. I started taking cycling classes in college and found them so energizing and motivating that I decided to become certified. I received my Spinning certification in 2010 and have been teaching ever since. I enjoy getting to know the women in my classes so I can choose the exercises and music that are motivating to them. Hi my name is Myra and I joined the BAC for Women staff shortly after they opened the BAC for Women Tonawanda location. I am a Kripalu Yoga instructor and was trained at the prestigious Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA. My classes are for everyone! When you come to practice yoga you come as you are and your problems, ailments and issues come with you. When you leave my yoga class hopefully you have left some of those things behind and are able to find a bit more peace and balance in the world. Come in try it and let me help you realize your full potential. I am here to both lead you in your experience of yoga and learn from all of you.

Nicole K

Nicole joined the BAC in 2003 and found her love and the importance of exercise. She has been cycling/spinning for 13 years! She is currently in the process of getting my Mad Dogg cycling certification and will also be getting certified in personal training and group fitness so she can expand her knowledge in physical fitness and share her passion and love of fitness with others.


I began teaching for the BAC in 1993, being certified in and teaching a variety of classes over the years including Step, Hi-Lo Aerobics, Slide, Milonga, Cardio-Kick, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, Sculpt, and Spinning. After suffering herniated discs in my neck and low back, I was limited in my physical ability to teach for about two years. In that time, I studied anatomy and the principles of safe spinal alignment and movement. By approximately 2003, I was well enough to re-certify and return to teaching Yoga, Trekking, and Cycling, each with a focus on proper and safe alignment.
I believe yoga is for everyone and I love sharing my passion for it with others. I also believe cycling class can be enjoyable and empowering and I love providing motivating music and positive coaching to elevate the experience. I hope you join me in a yoga or cycling class soon!”


As a certified Zumba® instructor since February 2016, I have been teaching Zumba® at the BAC for Women since July 2016. In 2017, I became certified to teach Zumba® STRONG. In 2012, I went to my first Zumba® class (after rolling my eyes at the suggestion for years!) and was immediately hooked. Since then, I have lost 100 lbs and couldn’t be happier. Along with teaching Zumba®, I enjoy kick boxing, rock climbing, baking, decorating cookies, and playing volleyball every week. My goal is to share my journey because it is truly a “if I can do it, YOU can do it!” story. Like I say in the beginning of each and every class, the #1 rule is to HAVE FUN! I hope to see you at my class soon!


I joined the BAC for Women in 2007 during the last leg of my 80 pound weight loss journey and being a member ever since has helped me to maintain my weight loss for more than 10 years. In 2015, just before my first knee replacement surgery I trained with Ellen Coleman to become a Group Exercise instructor in Pilates and cycling. I had my other knee replaced in June 2017. Currently I am teaching Pilates classes at Tonawanda BAC for Women location. I’m looking forward to seeing you in one of my classes!


Stacia has been a member of the BAC for women since 2007. With a need to make lifestyle changes as she approached 40, she discovered her passion for cycling classes. After nearly a year of training, she became a Cycling instructor in 2017. Her passion for music, positive well being, and a firm belief in paying it forward, are reflected through her vibrant personality and willing to help others at anytime. Traci is a Personal Trainer, Power 30 and Group Exercise Instructor at the BAC for Women Williamsville location. She brings over 17 years of experience in progressive health & fitness, coaching, training and motivating clients to perform at their best as well as achieve, maintain and implement their personal fitness goals in their daily lives. Traci encourages clients to take action while understanding and managing their own health care in a positive, motivating and challenging environment. She has had great success in working with diverse populations including all levels of fitness. Traci teaches 8 classes a week and offers 8 Power 30 small group training options Mon-Sat.

Traci has a proven and established track record of driven results with her clients who train with her one on one, in a small group or with those who take her weekly classes. She tries to lead by example and continues to motivate, shape and transform those who work with her keeping in mind everyone’s limitations.

Hi! I’m Wendy. I joined the BAC as a member back in 2001, loved the group exercise classes, bootcamps and top notch personal trainers over the years. In 2013, I was asked if I would like to become an instructor for the BAC for Women French Road. I went on to get my group exercise, CPR/AED, Bokwa, bootcamp, spinning certifications, then ISSA Certified Personal Trainer. Also an IDEA Health & Fitness Association Professional member and Indoor Cycling Association member. I currently teach RIPT, SPINNING, POWER 30/POWER 30 6wk challenges, one-on-one personal
training. I am also a Supervisor/ recreational gymnastics instructor and competitive team coach L2 10 for Summit Gymnastics in Elma for over 20 years. I have coached State, Regional and National individual champions and teams. Current USA Gymnastics pro member, Safety & Risk certified, U100/U200 Fundamentals & Sports Science, U110 Safe Sport certified. I am a mom of two beautiful daughters, who are gymnasts too.
