ZUMBA® is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba utilizes the principles of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning. It is a mixture of body sculpting movements with easy to follow dance steps.

Theresa joins our BAC Williamsville Location with 10 years of Zumba® experience. From the first Zumba® class she took in 2008, she was immediately hooked on the many various styles of Latin American dance. The energy and Latin beats were so intoxicating, that after the 1 hour class, she walked right up to the instructor and asked, “How do I become an instructor?” Theresa didn’t waste any time and scheduled her training in Youngstown Ohio and then brought Zumba® to Lockport, N.Y. She is excited to be teaching here at the BAC for Women, and if you have ever wondered if you could do Zumba®, she teaches the class with progression, humor and of course with fun- It’s for EVERYONE! Zumba® is an invitation to the dance floor! Zumba® is a fitness class that combines dance and fitness moves. Inspired by Latin dance and music while using a variety of styles in its routines, including Cumbia, Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco, and a Hip Hop. Music selections include both fast and slow rhythms to help tone and sculpt the body.
Fitness has been a huge part of Theresa’s life. Since the 1990’s, she has been teaching everything that has come down the fitness pipeline, but Zumba® has a special place in her heart. So if you ever wanted take a Zumba® class, now would be the time to come give it a try!
